Gelato and (Pretend) Mountains

Hi cute family.

That's alright that you didn't get back in time, Mom. I really wanted to talk to you, but I guess it'll have to happen another day. Leah, you're on youth council again?? Jeeze, God must really like you or somethin...That's cool though, congratulations. Youth speaker 4 times a year.....youth council all through high school. Oh, did you remember to give mom that *thing* I left with you? How did Todd like his birthday present? Sounds like you guys had fun. Is he getting excited for graduation? Levi, how did your posters and flyers go on the first day??! Which flyer did you bring? Please give me a detailed report of every comment and compliment you get on them. And I'm serious when I say DETAILED. Are you feeling any better? You probably just feel sick because mom said you looked sick or something. Do you think that's why? haha I'm just teasin. Mom how was Mother's Day? Did you get Dad out on a walk? Hope it was good. And I hope Leah remembered...I left a gift for you. Haha why was Cady so upset about you stopping my phone? Who was she texting anyway? Was she bringing it to school?

As for the blogs, I think I'm just going to do most everything on the new xoxo one. Everything that has to do with Vienna I think, that will just be easiest. I might update my other one once a week or so, but all these portals and journals has got my head spinning. So, moral of the story: the xoxo blog will be mostly what I use this summer.

Today we're just kind of hanging around. Krystle and I are kind of tired of walking around for hours, so we're just taking advantage of the good internet in the Institute. German was hard again today; we have our first quiz tomorrow over all these vocab words and numbers and countries. Not excited for that. Did you know that it's not possible to get index cards here? Not that I've found at least. And they don't sell notebooks (plain, lined paper) for less than 2.20 euros, which is what? Like $4!! Jeeze, I cannot figure out why everything is so dang overpriced. One thing is for sure, I'm being more conservative with everything. We'll probably end up making flash cards on scrap paper or something. We discovered the gelato, Mom. I might be having that as one meal a day...Think that will be okay? Don't tell me how many calories they have, haha, I don't want to know. Today I had one that was 2 flavors, vanilla/nutella and milk/maraschino cherry stuff (didn't like the cherry stuff). Saturday I tried strawberry (good but not my favorite), and Friday I had the nutella one and a vanilla/raspberry jelly thing (yum). The police sirens here make me feel like I'm living in 1945, it's this retro old-fashioned sound that is definitely cooler than the modern, techie sounds of the US police sirens.

Did I tell you that I saw a mountain in the distance out of our bathroom window at our house? Bad news. In my desperation for something besides tall buildings, I imagined some mountains in the distance. False. Very very false. They are buildings, so I'm back to square one, needing to see real dirt!

Well, I think Krystle, Mika and I will go get a croissant to hold us over until dinner. Love you guys and I loved talking last night!
